Very good product August 13, 2010 Raj Very good product in general, quite portable, easy to use for availability of quick hot water, can be put in my office and kitchen. Would recommend to anyone intereted.
2 or 3 years of life June 19, 2010 Branch in the Vine (Oregon USA) We got ours about 3 years ago and have used it almost every single day. The cause of death is the red wire that connects to the tank burned a hole and melted through the plastic bottom of the unit. The wire burned itself in half, and also damaged the power board it connects to. The wire that burned is not replaceable as far as I can tell. Also note that this unit is NOT INSULATED. I didn't know that, and for the past 3 years we just let it keep re-heating over and over thinking that it at least had some insulation to help keep the water warm.
The internal wires have ceramic sleeves protecting them, but this is only a protection against the tank heat. This wire appears to have burnt due to high electrical current flow, and not tank heat. (just my guess)
I did just order another one anyway.
Aroma Water Heater June 14, 2010 Kathie S. Quisenberry (Marquette Heights, IL) First there is no on/off switch so you have to unplug it when you want it off. Because of the large amount of power it pulls, it sparks when pluged in or unpluged. The cord was very bulky and the plug was large without a turn down so it would not fit well on my countertop.
very poor packaging May 31, 2010 S. Pa (Boston, MA) This is the third time I bought this water heater. The water heater itself is great however, the last two times when I bought them, they arrived cracked on the side. There is no cushion in the packaging box to protect it. The second time I bought it was as a mother's day's gift, and it turns out very disappointing, then I had it shipped back and replaced with another one, and that one is still cracked on the side due to very poor packaging.
Good until it isn't April 18, 2010 E. Ivanovich (Southern CA) I was happy to spend less money than the Zojirushi counterpart, but I have had to replace two in the time it took for my original Zoirushi to wear out. The thing that concerns me the most with this product, is that I am noticing rust spots in the seams at the bottom and along the upper lip of the metal inside.
