 Beautiful and modern looking tea kettle. February 8, 2010

I had been looking for a replacement kettle for one that only lasted about two years - will not mention the very common brand! But this one caught my eye because it was quite modern, blue that looks good in my kitchen (blue when heating) and it is quiet and fast. I can't tell that is makes any taste difference in the ccffee being plastic. I have had both plastic and metal tea kettles and the plastic ones have seemed to last longer and function better. This one is a gem and I am so happy I found it. When it said cordless, I thought that meant it had its own power source in the kettle. Not true, the base does need to be plugged into an electrical source. I would recommend this kettle to anyone.

I am now on the way to return this kettle.
1. IT IS NOT MADE FROM GLASS BUT FROM DISGUSTING PLASTIC.
2. IT IS BLACK AND NOT SILVER AS IN PICTURE.

Have had this item for over a month and am pleased with it. Nice design that would fit in well into a stainless-steel or more colorful themed kitchen. The blue light that goes on looks cool and is a great and highly visible visual clue that the machine is heating up and doing its job. Water heats rapidly.
Overall very well pleased and would repurchase.

Worked great out of the box. First boiled water came wih slight plastic smell, but it worked very nicely after that. Definitely good solid product.
